Dollar General Starts Selling CBD Products in Certain States

Dollar General has joined CVS, Walgreens, Whole Foods, Ulta Beauty, Urban Outfitters and other major retailers by adding CBD products to some of its stores.

The CBD products to be available include bath bombs, bath salts, creams, face masks and oils, Fox Business.  Roughly 20 different products will be available.

For now, only stores in Tennessee and Kentucky will carry the CBD products, but Dollar General plans to expand CBD sales into these other states by the end of 2020:

  • Colorado
  • Florida
  • Indiana
  • Oregon
  • South Carolina
  • Texas
  • Vermont

 EVP and Chief Merchandising Officer for Dollar General, Jason Reiser, said, “At Dollar General, the customer is at the center of all we do, and the addition of CBD items is an extension of our ongoing commitment to provide customers with a curated and affordable assortment of the products they seek. As with many of the products we carry in our stores, our decision to offer CBD products is based on customer interests or demands.”
