FARMbloomington Restaurant Is Hosting a 4/20 Hemp Dinner

Bloomington Marijuana

On April 20, FARMbloomington Restaurant is hosting a 420 Hemp Dinner for its Gourmet Club event of the month. Chef Daniel Orr has created a menu including hemp in all of the courses. The Gourmet Club holds dinners on the third Thursday of every month.

Products from the Indiana Hemp Industries Association will be featured in each course, according to FARMbloomington Restaurant. Some of the industrial hemp products featured include hemp oil, hulled hemp seeds and hemp crackers. Those products will be provided by Foods Alive and Real Hemp.

Chocolate for the Spirit owner Julie Bolejack and 240sweet owner Chef Alexa Lemley are working on the dessert options with Chef Orr. Indiana hemp will be featured in “Gimme S’more” petit fours as one option.

Chef Orr said, “Since April’s night falls on 4.20, it is a natural time to highlight one of Indiana’s most unique crops. We’re having fun with associations to bring awareness of the many delicious uses of hemp.”

Some of the dishes on the menu are:

  • Cheech and Chong “Thai One On” Summer Rolls
  • “Broccoli” Salad with Smoked Trout and a Hemp Oil Vinaigrette
  • Pork Tenderloin “Rolled” in hemp crust with Mexican mole and smokey beans.
  • “Gimme S’more” 240sweet green tea and hemp seed marshmallow paired with chocolate bars and cookies from Chocolate for the Spirit
