Founder of the First Church of Cannabis, Bill Levin, has announced his bid for Indiana Governor. He is seeking the Libertarian Party nomination. Levin attempted a run in 2014 but only received 11% of the votes.
The First Church of Cannabis was founded in 2015 using the state’s “religious freedom law,” according to Cherokee Tribune & Ledger News. Members of the church are called “Cannataerians.” They cannot use marijuana during religious ceremonies legally.
Indiana voters will choose their gubernatorial candidates next spring.
